Kanneliya rainforest located in Galle district, 1.5hrs  drive from Galle. There are few fragmented forests in Sri Lanka, total rainforest cover less than 6% in Sri Lanka. Mono-culture  plantations such as tea  and rubber reduced the forest cover of the island. Remnant 108 forest patches scattered throughout southwestern part of the island, rich with fauna and flora with highest density of endemics, highest number of threats, so called one of the global biodiversity hot-spots. These forest patches make us opportunity to see beautiful creations of mother nature.

Nature and wildlife lovers can enjoy by looking these wildlife, waterfalls and stream and stream-lets flowing through the forest. Because of this rich diversity, Kanneliya upgraded into Man and Biosphere reserve. Guest can do 3hrs leasure walk or 5hrs adventure mountain climbing in Kanneliya rainforest.
